Our Fees
At Celebration Celebrants, we spend a lot of time helping people plan their ceremony. A great celebration does not happen by itself, it takes a lot of planning and coordination.
There is a big difference between price and cost. If the ceremony isn't great, the "cost" will be much greater than whatever "price" you paid for your professionals. As in everything, if something is good, it's not cheap, and if something is cheap, it's probably not very good.Marriage and Civil Unions
We have three main levels of wedding services available: Basic, Standard, and Full-Service. The prices vary from $220 up to $600 and beyond, depending on each couple's wishes. We perform weddings & unions in all locations, both indoors and outdoors, in the greater Auckland area and also throughout NZ. When working in the greater Auckland area, we do not charge a "mileage" fee to drive to a location however if the travel is outside the greater Auckland area, the cost of travel, flights and accommodation will be added to our fees. Basic Service This 5 minute ceremony is for those on a budget, and includes pretty much only the exchange of wedding vows and rings. Often the Bride, Groom and witnesses are the only ones present, plus maybe a handful of relatives and friends. There is no meeting or rehearsal ahead of time. We will briefly go over the basics on the phone; we use a minimal standardised script which you insert the vows you want to speak to each other, and then we meet at the wedding venue on the day. This type of wedding can be arranged at quite short notice. Cost $220

If you are having a large wedding and reception with a lot of guests, this brief "vows only" ceremony is inappropriate, and won't look right to your guests. Do It Yourself If you want us to perform a small separate ceremony within your ceremony to legalise a marriage/union but not actually take part in the celebration side of things - We can provide and conduct a discreetly placed ceremony in front of your witnesses which covers the legal aspects of the marriage/union, declarations and the signing of the licence as required by law. Cost $220
Click here to ask about which Celebrants are availability for your date. Standard Service For the couple who only wants a short 10-20 minute ceremony. That includes a telephone interview and two short personal meetings, one being just prior to the wedding to cover the basics of what they want included in the ceremony. Although we do provide a custom written "script" of the ceremony to each couple in advance, there is no in-depth planning meeting as in the Full Service and no wedding planning/advisory assistance. This service does not include a full rehearsal or any coaching or planning services. Cost From $220 up to $600 depending on requirements.

The overwhelming majority of couples we've met, (over 90%) want a really special wedding ceremony, lasting 20-45 minutes, depending on their wishes. They have chosen to have a celebration of love that is customised and personalised, just for them. We provide a full wedding planning service for which we charge $60 per hour, or just a mini planning service covering the coordination of the wedding costing usually $600-$1000 (depending on what each couple wants). The Celebrant and Celebration Planner will need to meet personally with the couple for one to two hours. They will go over a 10-page checklist that covers just about anything you can think of. We will organise the event, attend and conduct the rehearsal, and walk everyone through their parts of the ceremony. It usually takes us about 16-20 hours to prepare for a full-service wedding. As a result, their wedding ceremony will be wonderful, meaningful, and exactly what they want. Cost $60 per hour

| | Ceremony Insurance
What if your Celebrant doesn’t turn up? Even if we're not providing your Celebrant, we can provide the piece of mind for your big day. We can provided what we like to call Ceremony Insurance, a back up Celebrant, who is on call to attend your ceremony at very short notice. We charge a $60 time hold fee for this service and if the back up Celebrant is required to perform your ceremony for you, we change the standard $60 per hour for the time you need them. You would be responsible for providing the scripted ceremony (or getting your Celebrant to email it to us). We then arrive, perform the ceremony and deal with the issue of paperwork changes. We provide a ceremony writing service, this is done via questionnaire and email consultation. We will construct a ceremony for you to use yourself, it can also be useful if you want a special person (say a Celebrant who's a family friend) to perform the ceremony but want to maintain autonomy over the ceremony script content.
